melissa & wes

Wes and Melissa Stein moved to Durango in 2005. They purchased Second Time Around in May 2020.
When the Pandemic shut down the country, the Steins needed to pivot from the housekeeping service company they'd spent the previous decade building. When she went in to collect her earnings as a consignor, Melissa discovered that Durango's most beloved consignment boutique was about to shutter its doors for good.
So, scrambling to make it work, the Steins raised the requisite funds and bought the shop. In the new world of social distancing, they made the hard choice to move the store to 1139 Main Ave, where glass partitions, big windows and better lighting made for a safer and happier shopping experience.
Originally founded in 1977, Second Time Around has been a staple of the community for locals to earn some extra cash, while finding hot deals on clothing and housewares. But after 43 years, things can get stale- it's only natural. That's why the new STA has a new location, new items, and totally new vibes!
Come in today and see what's new.
